Location
Located in a beautiful part of the Victorian countryside, Drummond, The Phoebe Everill Furniture School is a wonderfully warm and inviting space which allows for both the creation of and the making of beautiful fine furniture.
This light filled space is perfect for holding a straw marquetry workshop as the space provides ample light for straw creations.
The machinery space is separate from the studio space and is not required for straw marquetry workshops.
What you'll do
You will learn how to prepare straw, flatten it and then apply it to a substrate. This will be a small panel (200mm x 200mm) and it will be decorated in 4 traditional straw marquetry techniques which can then be framed or used as a reference.
All tools and materials are provided and there is an opportunity to purchase straw and an 'Essentials Kit'.
