This log of silver birch was from my garden. It's been drying out (thus the cracks) for about 5 years and was just waiting to be turned. I decided to leave this one natural with bark inclusions and cracks as it looks beautiful in the raw state. You are welcome to put a finish on but it will change the color to a darker shade. The test tube protrudes about 50mm from the top of the wood. Just enough height to give a feeling of suspension. Any flower or greenery would look great against this pale silver birch vase and you can use the glass tube - or not. It looks terrific used as a bud vase as well. Timber height: 115mm Glass test tube provided: 25mm x 150mm Weight including packaging: 600g All pieces are turned by myself in my workshop in Melbourne, Australia. Any further queries or request for more photos welcome.
